Hey geeks, good news! Starting February 16, there’s an easy and convenient way for you to purchase apps, music, games, e-books and more from iTunes and the App Store!
Here’s how in 4 easy steps!
#1 – Be a Smart subscriber
This awesome service is only available to Smart subscribers so if I were you, make the switch! Haha!

But if you can’t let go of your old telco (you really should, you know), you can get a prepaid account instead as this service is available to both postpaid and prepaid accounts. For postpaid accounts, your purchase will be charged to your account. For prepaid accounts, your purchase will be deducted from your load.
#2 – Once you’ve become a Smart subscriber, register your mobile number to the service.
#3 – Next, enroll your “Virtual Credit Card” details
#4 – Finally, happily purchase items from iTunes or the App store fuss-free!
See? It’s ridiculously simple and straightforward! But if you have any questions, feel free to head on over to the Smart website to read their FAQs. If you have any question that’s not in the FAQ, tweet me or feel free to get in touch with Smart on Twitter or Facebook.
The #PayWithMobile Launch Event
This awesome news was announced today by Smart at Shangri-La, Makati and I was fortunately able to attend. Here are some photos of the event 🙂
Waiting for the event to start!
Souvenir, haha! 😉 Made the husband tag along to this event.

The magic words – “No need for a credit card”
Met Irene of GirlyGeek.Ph! Thanks for making my day and hope to see you in more events 🙂 (Photo grabbed from Irene)
Was able to hang out with these gorgeous beauty bloggers! I’m giving them a demo of my new Sony QX10 and trying to convince them that this is the best selfie gadget ever, haha!
So what do you geeks think of this new service?
I was telling the husband during the event that this service may not be big of a deal to people who already own credit cards, but the truth is, not everyone owns a credit card.
Smart understands that not everyone owns a credit card, but that shouldn’t stop people from realizing the full potential of their mobile devices. This is why we have worked hard to bring this groundbreaking service to Filipino users, which we believe will further revolutionize the way they enjoy their favorite lifestyle apps and content on their devices – Charles Lim, EVP and Wireless Consumer Division Head at Smart
True to Smart’s “Internet For All” campaign, this service will definitely allow everyone to experience the joy of mobile internet.
And to end this post, a selfie… and an OOTD, hehe!
